In my role as a Graphic Designer with a passion for creativity and adaptability, I excelled in the dynamic realm of sports betting. Specializing in digital and print promos, I collaborated closely with professionals from Acquisition, Casino, Retention & Winback, and Social Media, blending my design expertise with strategic input to craft captivating campaigns. As a dedicated member of the UX team, my primary focus was on promotions, contributing to our company’s success by creating visually stunning and effective materials that aligned seamlessly with our goals and company vibe.

I led the team in the creation of a fresh graphic design style that gave our brand a  unified look, setting us apart in the competitive market.

I also simplified our processes by crafting extensive template libraries. This boosted efficiency and kept our designs consistent across different departments.

Project: Establishing a New Graphic Design Style for Sports Interaction

Project Overview:

Aspiring to redefine Sports Interaction’s visual identity, I led a team in crafting a bold and energetic graphic design style. This project aimed to break away from industry norms, infuse vibrancy into the brand, and establish a dynamic and captivating presence across various platforms.

Background and Challenge:

Sports Interaction, a leader in sports betting, sought a fresh image to elevate its brand presence. The existing identity lacked excitement, and the challenge was to create a design style that stood out in a competitive landscape while preserving the brand’s sports-centric essence.

Where we have came from:

In the past, our challenge was to sell the idea of sports betting online. We projected this trust and steadiness. We have used real players or stock images heavily disguised by photo styling. This has worked to convey sports and a mature brand.

Design Process:

Step 1: Research and Exploration:

  • Collaborated with the team to define project objectives and roles.
  • Researched industry trends, competitor identities, and audience preferences.
  • Identified an opportunity to shift the design style towards energy and excitement.

Step 2: Concept Development:

  • Engaged in brainstorming sessions to ideate creative concepts.
  • Explored ideas that encapsulated vibrancy, sportiness, and uniqueness.
  • Narrowed down concepts aligned with the brand’s values and vision.

Step 3: Color and Typography Selection:

  • Analyzed Sports Interaction’s existing colors (#F58720, #07153D, #030728).

  • Introduced “Brights” to infuse life into the core palette while retaining essence. Brights offer us the freedom to inject life and distinction into the core brand palette without changing it fundamentally.

  • Texture- the geometric texture connects the new style with the old. It is a distinctive Sports Interaction motif.

  • Chose “Montserrat” font for its strength, simplicity, and versatility.

Step 4: Illustration Style Creation:

  • Explored illustration techniques combining realism and abstraction.
  • Developed a distinct style inspired by action photos, focusing on emotions.
  • Crafted a vector-based library for scalable and versatile application.

Step 5: Enhancement and Composition:

  • Collaborated to brainstorm enhancements such as confetti, fireworks, and splashes.
  • Established composition rules for visual harmony and engagement.
  • Conducted usability testing to refine compositions for different platforms.

Step 6: Application and Testing:

  • Applied the new design style to banner ads, social media, and merchandise.
  • Collaborated with developers for seamless integration into the product.
